How do i place an order?

If you want to order our pieces, please send us an e-mail to info@dovainstudio.com. After you made your order you will receive a confirmation by email with further details on how to proceed.


Where are your products made?

All our products are made in Portugal, which is well known for its quality and tradition in craftsmanship.


Do you offer customizations?

We customize all our products in sizes, materials and colors. If you need a particular customization, please contact us and our designers will be thrilled to assist your need. E-mail info@dovainstudio.com for more information.


I need an estimate or more information about a product.

Our Sales team is available to answer any product inquiries you may have and prepare an estimate for you. E-mail info@dovainstudio.com regarding your project. You will be contacted briefly after.


Which are the payment terms?

Once you place your order we will send you a Proforma invoice. Proforma invoice orders will require a 50% advance deposit to begin production and the balance prior to shipping from Portugal (until 15 days before expedition date).

Payment must be made by bank account transfer (in Euro €) and a confirmation of the transfer (with receipt) must be sent by e-mail to your sales contact or to info@dovainstudio.com. Proformas should be signed and stamped by the client as a form of approval of the described content.

All pieces are a property of DovainStudio, Lda until payment in full is received. DovainStudio, Lda reserves the right to delay the dispatch date until the balance of the order is received.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes, we offer special pricing to members of the trade; applicants should request the information to the following email: info@dovainstudio.com.


What is the lead-time of production?

Production time is between 6 to 9 weeks. (Delivery time is not included). For pieces with custom specifications or orders of large quantities we reserve the right to agree with the customer on a time of delivery. The Lead Time for this custom orders can vary between 12 and 24 weeks.


Return Policy

Because of the hand-made nature of our product, we are not able to offer returns.


I'd like to place an order but the lead time is too long. What can I do?

If the listed lead time doesn't work for your schedule, please contact us before placing an order to discuss timing.


Do you stock products?

No we don’t. All of our products are made to order.


Can I change or amend the invoice provided?

Alterations are allowed in the proforma before the order confirmation (before advance payment). After we begin production (after the payment), alterations are not allowed.

Can I send my own fabric / leather?

Yes, C.O.M. / C.O.L. is an available option. You must send your fabric to our facilities in Portugal and you must request by email the “Upholstery COM/COL Form” and send it to info@dovainstudio.com. The fabric must arrive to our facilities within 15 days after payment of deposit, otherwise the production time will increase by one month.


Do you provide upholstery foam with fire retardant treatment?

Yes, we can provide foam with fire retardant treatment (certified). Please inform our sales team of the requirements of your project.


If I change materials will there be a surcharge?

It depends on what material you are choosing. To be sure, please, consult your sales contact or our sales department at info@dovainstudio.com.


Do you provide installation instructions?

Yes, our pieces are shipped with assembly instructions. However, if you need assistance, please feel free to contact our sales team at info@dovainstudio.com.


How do I clean and care for my new Dovain product?

Our priority is to provide you with the highest quality of materials and therefore we very much value the care given to our products in post-sales. For that reason we have composed a Care and Maintenance Guide that you can request at info@dovainstudio.com.


How can I get samples?

We can provide samples (marble, metals, wood, lacquered options and fabrics). Please feel free to contact us by info@dovainstudio.com.


When does the production of my order starts?

The production process starts after you received the invoice and proceed with the 50% advance payment required. In the case of COM/COL, please, keep in mind the time it will take for us to receive the fabric.


Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, we ship to most countries around the world. A Shipment Details Form will be provided by your Account Manager when placing an order with DovainStudio Lda. Without sending this form to your Account Manager there will be no transport quotes given or transport arranged. Please contact us for more informations regarding the shipping of your products or check our Selling Terms and Conditions for more informations regarding our transport policies.


What is the difference between “order date” and “shipping date”?

Order date - When we confirm the transfer receipt in our account.

Shipping date - The transit time to ship the merchandise from the day the goods leaves our facilities until the delivery address.


What happens to my order if I’m not present at the address when it arrives?

All shippings are reported to the client once the products leave our warehouse. After that, the shipping company will contact you to schedule the day of the delivery.


Can I change my delivery address?

Changes in delivery address are only allowed until the balance payment is done. In exceptional cases we may allow changes to the address after goods have been shipped which translates into a surcharge that will be charged to the client.


Can I have a 3D Model/ 2D technical drawing of your products?

Yes, you can contact directly our sales department at info@dovainstudio.com and create a trade account.


Do you have a Privacy Policy?

As we are committed to ensuring that our client’s privacy is protected, we do keep a Privacy Policy which you can access by clicking here.


Do you have a Warranty Policy?

Do you provide Certificates of Origin?

We may provide the following services for a special fee: Certificate of Origin, Authentication of Invoices, and other certificates. Please contact our sales team for more information at info@dovainstudio.com.
